Christmas 2010

We all had a great Christmas.  Lor was super excited to come down and see what Santa had left for her.  It is such a joy to watch your childs face light up over presents.  We spent the whole day cooking, watching Christmas movies and parades, playing board games (hi ho cherio and candy land), and of course playing with new presents.  We went to mass on Christmas Eve and had our traditional chinese food dinner.  I cooked so much it's actually embarassing what we have leftover, but I know it won't go to waste!

Poor dog was tormented with new playsilks all day, but she got a new fox and some snausages too!

Baby Michael playing wiht his new taggie toy mommy scored for .25 at a garage sale in May...go mom!

His favorite toy is the glow seahorse...he is obsessed with it!

So, does my boob look like the seahorse's belly or the other way around?

Lor's favorite toy...the "sick animals" toy she kept asking for and Santa caved on...even if it is cheap plastic junk...she sure LOVES making that puppy feel better!

At least someone got some use out of the blanket I made for baby Michael.

Diner, before we ate (corn casserole, turkey, rolls, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffin' muffins, green bean casserole, gravy, and cranberry).  Yes, canned cranberry.  We homemade everything but Mike insists on the cranberry in a can.

Dinner after we ate.  Yes, it looks the same...that's how much freaking food we made.  LOL

2 happy kids!

Tutus and Christmas Parties

So I finally made Lor a Tutu and it turned out super cute.  I still need a shirt to pair with it for pictures...so any ideas would be appreciated.

Also, Lor and Michael went to 2 Christmas parties on Wednesday and looked super cute!  The first one was with my Bible study ladies and the other was with MOMS club.  They were both great and I feel blessed to have such great friends.

We also baked our traditional butter cookies and decorated them.  It was so much fun.  Lor was much more involved than last year and they taste super great!

2 Month and 3 Year doctor visits

Lor threw the biggest and most embarassing fit of her life...and is chugging right along on the top of the charts.

Loralei
Height 36.25 inches  (95%)
Weight 37.3 pounds  (92%)
Head Circ. 50.5 cm (98%)
BMI  17 (82%)

Michael
Height  24 inches (70%)
Weight 14.13 pounds (86%)
Head Circ.  39.5 cm (23%)

Michael is higher in % for weight than Lor was at that age...she was 75 for height and weight and then upper 90s after that.  His head circ. is falling off the charts though.  It was 90% at birth, 63% at 2 weeks and now 23%.  Hoping that's normal.  Not sure where he got a small head from though.  Mike and I are both bobble headded.  :)

Santa and Lor's New Dresser

We took Lor and baby Michael to see Santa today.  Lor did great but was a little shy and baby Michael was just mad to be woken up.

Mike also finished Lor's new dresser.  Man, a $30 dresser with $50 worth of crystal knobs (on sale for $40) makes me laugh...but it looks great.  He has to paint her headboard and the frames for her horse pictures and her room is done!

Lor's 3rd Birthday Party

I can't believe this time 3 years ago I was almost 41 weeks pregnant and waiting for Loralei to make "HIS" arrival.  :)  She is growing up to be quite a spunky an spirited little lady.  She says something every day that amazes and suprises me.  She is one smart cookie for sure and will thrive in preschool next year...sob...

Here are some pictures from her party today!!!  She had a blast.  For the next 24 hours exactly she is still my sweet 2 year old...so happy birthday little lady...almost!

2 Months Old and Piggy Tails

Took Michael's 2 month stickybelly picture today and he is looking so much older.  Much chunkier thighs and so many more smiles and expressions.  He even reached for me yesterday when Mike was handing him to me in the bathtub.  Made my weekend.  Lor also finally has enough hair and cooperation to rock some pretty hair bows.  I am loving it!  Ironically, when we tried Lor in the Bumbo at 2 months old she didn't fit because her thighs were too big...but she has grown "into" it...ha ha.

Thanksgiving

We all had a fabulous Thanksgiving.  We went "home" to Virginia and spent 2 weeks with family and friends.  Michael is back to being up every hour and I am hoping for a change soon.  Boy am I exhausted.  He is smiling and cooing and even laughed for uncle Tyler.  Lor is so excited for her birthday next week and really enjoys getting presents.  Christmas morning is going to be a blast!

Here are some pictures from our trip.

Loralei after eating her second cookie she took without us noticing...ha ha...little stinker.
